We want to hear what you think about our new draft Public Open Space Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).
Solihull’s motto is ‘Urbs in Rure’ or Town in Country and is known for its attractive green open spaces and leafy suburbs. The borough generally enjoys high quality open spaces, which helps make Solihull the place it is.
The SPD provides detailed guidance for developers on the provision, enhancement, adoption, and future maintenance of public open space (POS) in connection with developments across Solihull borough.
The plan builds upon and provides additional guidance to help in the interpretation of Policy P20 ‘Provision for Open Space, Children’s Play, Sport, Recreation and Leisure’ of the 2013 Solihull Local Plan.
The consultation survey will run from Friday 7 November until 5pm on Friday 19 December 2025.
