Thank you for your interest in becoming a Solihull Family Hubs volunteer! 🤝

As a volunteer, you will be able to contribute to a friendly and supportive community environment for local children, young people, parents, and carers.

If you are family focused, enjoy meeting people, and want to support people, this role will be perfect for you!

Some of the key tasks and responsibilities volunteers may be asked to support with are:

  • Keeping communal areas tidy and safe and assisting staff with setting up and clearing away group activities
  • Helping deliver family activities, such as engaging people during craft and play sessions
  • Supporting families with general queries and encouraging them to provide feedback about the sessions
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as printing, photocopying, and distributing flyers
  • Maintaining confidentiality and respecting the privacy of families using the Hub

You will gain experience in and develop:

  • Communication, teamwork, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Training related to Family Hub services, safeguarding awareness, and working with families
  • A sense of pride in working alongside and contributing to your community
