This consultation has now closed, but the consultation material will remain available to view. Thank you to everyone who engaged with the material and completed the survey.
The Knowle to Solihull Active Travel Scheme is a new development schemebeing developed to encourage and enable more walking and cycling journeys between Solihull and Knowle.
The proposed scheme, part of the Solihull Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP), will aim to improve the currently limited cycling infrastructure between Solihull and Knowle. Current early designs for the scheme include proposals to widen the path through Brueton Park, whilst introducing speed limit reductions, traffic calming and sections of segregated bi-directional cycle lanes. Additional crossings along the route and resurfacing existing footways are also proposed.
The consultation will run for six weeks, until Monday 2 December 2024.
We want to hear your feedback on the scheme, particularly from local residents and commuters who use the current route. All comments received in response to this consultation will be considered and will be used to help inform how the scheme is taken forward.
You can download and view the current plans using the link in the ‘Documents’ panel on the right-hand side of this page. You’ll also find a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the scheme.
Using the 'Map' tool below, you can have a look at the proposed route. Once you’ve had a chance to take a look, you can fill in our survey via the ‘Survey’ tab below to share your thoughts and comments on the scheme.
