Solihull Council’s Local List of Heritage Assets – draft selection criteria for additions to the list and draft nomination form
Local planning authorities have the option of keeping a Local List of Heritage Assets to promote the conservation and appreciation of ‘non-designated heritage assets’. These merit consideration in planning decisions but are not formally designated (ie not listed buildings or scheduled monuments).
The document ‘Solihull Council’s Local List of Heritage Assets – draft selection criteria for additions to the list and draft nomination form’ sets out what the council would like from the list and what its scope should be. It also sets out draft criteria that proposed additions to the list should meet and how assets should be assessed.
The purpose of this consultation is to ask for your views on the proposed criteria and check we haven’t missed anything. It also asks you who else we should consult with. There are just six questions and you can write as much or as little as you would like.
Please note – this is a consultation about the nature of the Local List and what should be considered in the nomination form. It is not for nominating an asset. If you would like to nominate a heritage asset for addition to the Local List, please email your nomination, using these draft criteria and form as guidance, to HeritageAssets@solihull.gov.uk
Please read the document before taking part in the consultation.
The deadline for this consultation is 5pm, Wednesday 19 June.
Thank you
