Solihull Council is conducting a review of all polling districts and places used at elections that fall within Solihull borough, as is required under the Electoral Registration and Administration Act 2013.
Representations relating to the existing arrangements can be made in ourconsultation, which takes place for six weeks fromTuesday 1 Apriluntil Tuesday 13 May.
The review is an opportunity for electors, groups and any other interested parties in Solihull to express their views on the existing polling district boundaries (an area within an electoral ward or parliamentary constituency)and polling places (where polling stations are located), and where possible make alternative suggestions for consideration.
The Council also welcomes comments or representations from any elected members in the area, local political representatives and any person or body with expertise in access for persons with any type of disability or need.
The review aims to ensure electors have reasonable and practical facilities for voting and that polling places are accessible to all. The changing of any ward or parish council boundary is not considered in this review.
