Solihull Council has a duty under the Children and Families Act 2014 to provide free impartial, confidential and accessible information, advice and support to children and young people with special educational needs and/or a disability (SEND), and their parents or carers, regarding their education, and any health or social care needs related to their education.
This support is delivered in Solihull through the SEND Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIAS service) (see https://www.family-action.org.uk/what-we-do/children-families/send/solihullsendias/)
Solihull Council is currently reviewing the provision of the SENDIAS service and would like to ensure that the views of parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities inform the future of the service – whether or not you have used the SENDIAS service previously.
If you are the parent or carer of a child with a special educational need/additional learning need and/or disability, we would be most grateful if you could complete this survey.
Alternatively, any comments and/or questions can be sent to the Children’s Commissioning and Placements Team at childrenscommissioning@solihull.gov.uk
This survey closes on 2 May 2025.
