Get Involved
Would you like to play an active role in helping shape the future of adult social care in Solihull? Your everyday lived experiences of adult social care services can be used to make them better.
There are a number of projects you can get involved in now - read more about them below. You can also register your interest in other topics which will come up in the future.
Have you used our online portal to complete a self-assessment? We want to hear from you!

Last year, we ran a campaign on the Council’s Facebook and Instagram accounts to promote our online self-assessment portal.
This spring, we’re planning to re-run the campaign and would like to involve people who have used the online portal to complete a self-assessment to share their experience with others.
To find out more information and help us help others, please contact getinvolved@solihull.gov.uk.
Carers’ Forum
Great news! We have reached our initial target of 50 people registering interest in the Carers' Forum. If you would like to help us improve services for family carers in Solihull, there is room in the Forum for you. You will need current experience of caring for a family member or friend.
The Carers' Forum has already been involved in the tender for our new carers' support service, helped improve our carers' webpages and suggested a new page with information about caring for someone who lives in a different borough.
To register your interest in the Carers' Forum, please complete the Help us improve services for carers form.
Partnership boards
Partnership boards bring together Solihull residents with experience and knowledge about the needs and aspirations of everyone who uses our services. The aim is to promote awareness and respect and to discover new ways to influence support. We welcome people with lived experience as active and equal partners on our partnership boards. Meetings are held at the Civic Suite, rear of Council House, Manor Square, Solihull B91 3QB.
- Autism Partnership Board meets every three months. Next meeting: Thursday 30 April 2026, 10am - 12noon.
- Carers Partnership Board meets every two months. Next meeting: Tuesday 14 April 2026 1-3pm.
- Learning Disability Partnership Board meets every three months. Next meeting: Wednesday 3 June 2026, 10.30am to 12.30pm.
Looking ahead
In 2026 we will be starting new projects which include information and advice for autistic adults, planning later life events.
