Joint Local Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2024 - 2032

The Joint Local Health and Wellbeing Strategy (JLHWS) focuses on our key themes and plans to improve the health and wellbeing of everyone across our borough. It will include focused work on the population groups that are at greater risk of poorer outcomes.

The strategy is intended to be overarching, underpinned by our inequalities and prevention strategies.

The JLHWS has taken into account a number of other documents. These include the Story of Solihull, which describes the current population of Solihull, as well as the strengths, opportunities and challenges facing the borough. Other documents include the Solihull Local Outcomes Framework – which guides how we will measure progress – and the Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care System 10 Year Strategy.

These have helped to highlight areas where we are doing well and areas where we need to make improvements.

The strategy has six clear themes, five of which can be considered “across the life course” i.e. from maternity to end of life. The sixth theme focuses on improving mental health for people of all ages.

The latest draft of the strategy is available to download and view on the right-hand side of this page, in the 'Documents' tab.

More information on the Health and Wellbeing Board is available on the Council website.

Before the strategy is finalised and approved, we want to hear from you.

We would appreciate you taking the time to complete a short survey. The survey is below and should take no more than five minutes to complete.

The consultation will close on Thursday September 12.
