Update: The Kingshurst Construction Training Hub is no longer taking on new trainees.
The Kingshurst Construction Training Hub is about unlocking opportunities for local residents who are looking to take their first steps into the construction industry.
Training delivered through the Hub combines classroom-based and practical learning in the training provider's premises. This also covers employability support and provides learners with basic knowledge for construction.
As well as obtaining a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card, all those who successfully complete the course will benefit from a guaranteed interview at the end of their training.
The Kingshurst Construction Training Hub is just one way Solihull Council is looking to maximise some of the local opportunities associated with the wider community and health led regeneration of Kingshurst Village Centre.
This Council initiative is being funded through the West Midlands Combined Authority and will be delivered in partnership with RMF Group, Willmott Dixon and Solihull College & University Centre.
