This page is for wearers of the Orange Button across Solihull.

Since the Orange Button scheme began across Solihull and Birmingham in September 2023, hundreds of you have now completed the training! Thank you for your incredible commitment, helping to support people in your area who may be struggling with their mental health.

The World Health Organisation's call to action for World Suicide Prevention Day 2024 is "start the conversation". By completing the training, you have empowered yourself to have supportive conversations with people who may be experiencing suicidal thoughts, helping signpost them to the relevant support services.

This page includes a series of videos (top right on the page) developed for World Suicide Prevention Day 2024. The videos provide an introduction to the scheme and more information on the training. Four orange button wearers also told us their story about their experiences of the training, and what being an orange button wearer means to them.

The page will be regularly updated with the latest news about the orange button scheme. We will also invite you to complete polls and surveys about your experiences of the training and being an orange button wearer.
