Young people wanted more support when moving from primary to secondary school
School leaders have worked with Solihull Parent Carer Voice and Our Voices Heard to update the transitions guidance for schools to use
School leaders will gather more voices from young people about transition to review the guidance for next year (2025)
Parents wanted more information on health waiting times and where else to get help
We have created a website where anyone can check the latest waiting times for children’s services and see what support is available whilst they are waiting (SEND support available to residents in Solihull)
We will use feedback from the survey on this site to decide where we need to develop more support.
Young people wanted more people to listen to them
We worked with young people to create a video on the importance of hearing children’s and young peoples voices (children and young people) and are sharing this with everyone who works with them
Parents wanted to see more about what we are doing against our Additional Needs Strategy
